Aphorism No. 1 and Footnote No. 1
We are so fortunate that Dr. Hahnemann has explained all the knowledge of homeopathy from the basics of how a physician should be. He has explained all the dos and don’ts. As per aphorism no 1, there is only one ultimate aim of a physician. The ultimate mission of a physician is to restore the health of sick individuals.
The moment you open a book of Organon of medicine, the first aphorism you see is that the physician’s high and only mission is to restore the sick to health, to cure, as it is termed. This aphorism is the biggest motivation to start your day as a homeopath.
All footnotes written by our master, Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, are the true beacon for physicians walking on a path to serve mankind with homeopathy!
Footnote No. 1
Let’s understand some key points discussed in footnote no. 1 by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann.
In this footnote, our master has explained Dont’s.
This footnote works as a guide for a physician.
Keynotes of Footnote No. 1
- A physician should not explain the phenomenon of disease or the cause of disease based on hypothetical opinions.
- He must not waste his time and talent explaining how diseases originate in the internal, invisible environment of an organism because it may be misguided.
- The sick man seeks a cure.
- We, as physicians, must focus on providing help and cures to the sick, rather than wasting our time on mere talk.
If a physician keeps on explaining the idea of disease or the cause of disease with the help of his own speculations and hypothetical opinions, then it is called theoretic medicine.
The meaning of the word is theoretical—based on ideas and principles, not on practical experience.
Footnotes and aphorism is a guide of a physician to follow ethical practices in your journey as a Homeopathic Physician.
